Social Responsibility Policy
AKSA aims to make its Social Responsibility Policy a part of the company culture. This policy includes the standards developed through teamwork and based on core principles and values shared with all business partners.
Along with creating products that comply with AKSA’s social compliance standards, the company commits to providing all rights arising from these standards within legal frameworks, complying with occupational health and safety rules, being environmentally conscious, and creating a workplace where open and honest communication, respect, and value among employees are prioritized.
The Social Responsibility Policy is communicated through AKSA’s internal communication portals. Suppliers are informed, and efforts are made to evaluate them according to these criteria.
No employee shall face sanctions or disciplinary action for expressing concerns, worries, or complaints under this policy. Suggestion and complaint boxes are used to facilitate the expression of such concerns.
Additionally, in line with Kazancı Holding’s Code of Ethics Regulation, any violation or awareness of a breach must be reported to the ethics hotline at 0 850 511 11 12 or via email to etik@aksa.com.tr.
Employees are encouraged to openly express any opinions, requests, complaints, and suggestions, which are evaluated by Senior Management, and continuous improvement actions are taken where necessary. AKSA’s Social Responsibility Policy covers the following areas:

1. Voluntary Employment
AKSA prohibits all forms of forced labor including prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, military or slave labor, and all forms of human trafficking.
Working hours are arranged in accordance with the Regulation on Overtime and Extra Work under the Labor Law. Employees cannot be forced to work overtime without consent.
Employees cannot be prevented from leaving their jobs unless for security reasons. Personal data is protected and kept confidential in accordance with the law.
2. Child Labor (Underage Employees)
AKSA adheres to legal minimum age requirements and prohibits employment of individuals under 18 in any position. This policy complies with the Labor Law, Occupational Health and Safety Law, and International Labour Organization standards.
3. Equal Opportunity
AKSA values all employees and their contributions. It is strongly committed to non-discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities. The company maintains a workplace free from discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, color, nationality, social origin, language, religion, age, disability, political opinion, immigration status, or any other status protected by law.
Hiring decisions are based on qualifications such as education, interests, skills, and work experience.
4. Working Hours and Wages
AKSA offers competitive wages based on sectoral and local labor market standards. It complies fully with applicable labor laws and employment contracts regarding wages, working hours, overtime, and benefits. Employees are given opportunities to develop their skills and promoted whenever possible to support their growth.
5. Health and Safety
AKSA ensures the establishment and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment. It aims to minimize risks of accidents, injuries, and health hazards and maintain a productive and safe workplace.
A work environment free from violence, pressure, harassment, threats, and discomfort is provided.
6. Commitment to Society and Stakeholders
AKSA commits to engaging with stakeholders in good faith by listening to their opinions and acting on them. Employee representatives are appointed in accordance with the law to enable communication regarding employee concerns, including the use of suggestion boxes. Where appropriate, AKSA also engages in dialogue with stakeholders about workplace-related rights and issues.
7. Employment of Foreign Nationals
All HR processes for foreign employees at AKSA, from hiring to termination, are conducted in accordance with applicable laws. No worker shall be employed under debt bondage. The legal rights of foreign workers are protected.
8. Human Trafficking
AKSA strictly prohibits the employment of illegal workers or involvement in human trafficking.
9. Rest Days and Holidays
AKSA ensures that employees receive rest and holidays as per their legal rights. Working hours are organized in compliance with Article 63 of the Turkish Labor Law No. 4857.
10. Recruitment and Employment
AKSA conducts recruitment for identified open positions lawfully and according to established principles such as equal opportunity, leave policies, wages, holidays, and employment contracts.
11. Employment Contracts
A legal employment contract that includes the terms offered to the candidate is prepared between the employee and AKSA. Upon acceptance, the employee signs an Employment Contract, Confidentiality Agreement, and KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) documents. Orientation training is provided to explain all relevant rules and policies.
12. Discipline Regulation
The “Discipline Regulation” is enforced to ensure discipline in the workplace and to apply appropriate sanctions for non-compliance. AKSA never applies wage deductions as a disciplinary measure.
13. Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Issues
One of AKSA’s goals is to ensure maximum Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (EHS). It prioritizes minimizing risks affecting people, property, and the environment, complying with and improving legal requirements, raising awareness, and promoting social responsibility—including among customers and the wider community.
14. Compliance with Customs Legislation
AKSA complies with all applicable local and international customs regulations and takes preventive measures against the illegal shipment of products.
15. Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
AKSA respects all employees' legal rights to organize, unionize, and collectively bargain. It pledges not to exert pressure or discriminate against employees exercising these rights.
16. Adherence to Ethical Principles
AKSA commits to complying with all applicable laws and regulations, keeping transparent and up-to-date records to demonstrate compliance, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for corruption and bribery, avoiding conflicts of interest, protecting intellectual property rights of business partners, and refraining from offering or accepting bribes or gifts to gain unfair advantage.
17. Handling Complaints and Suggestions
AKSA establishes mechanisms for employees to submit complaints and suggestions, ensures timely and effective feedback, promotes a happy working environment, and guarantees non-retaliation. It encourages the use of these mechanisms for complaints from both employees and local communities regarding issues such as odors, noise, and waste.
