Solar Energy Investment Commissioned in China
We are pleased to announce the successful grid connection of our solar energy system at our production center in China. With an installed capacity of 2.36 MW, the project aims to generate 2.53 million kWh of electricity annually.
Through this investment, we intend to meet 1.88 million kWh of our annual electricity consumption with self-generated green energy, reducing electricity costs in our China operations by 20%. The energy savings from this project are projected to prevent 1,072 tons of carbon emissions, an environmental contribution equivalent to planting 60,000 trees.
The system, consisting of 4,987 solar panels installed over a 10,750 m² roof area, was custom-designed for the facility's structure. This setup provides high resistance to wind and corrosion, offering long-lasting and efficient performance.
Following the commissioning of our solar energy system at the Çerkezköy production plant in 2023—which currently meets 36% of our energy needs in Turkey—we aim to increase this ratio to 60% in the coming period, continuing to expand clean energy applications in line with our sustainability vision.
