GENERATORS UNDER SURVEILLANCE…

Turkcell has partnered with Aksa Power Generation Rental. Through this collaboration, Aksa Power Generation Rental’s generators will now be remotely monitored using Turkcell’s M2M technology. Thanks to M2M SIM cards installed in the generators, any malfunction or disruption will be instantly transmitted to the central system, allowing potential issues to be resolved quickly and ensuring uninterrupted service. Initially, 350 M2M lines will be used for generator monitoring. This number is expected to reach 2,000 in the near future, enabling all Aksa Power Generation Rental generators in the field to be monitored remotely.

Commenting on the collaboration, Turkcell Deputy General Manager Selen Kocabaş said: “As a leading technology and communication company that always pioneers firsts, we launched Turkey’s first Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication platform, the Turkcell M2M Platform. Through this platform, we provide our corporate and public partners with M2M solutions that increase efficiency, positively impact environmental health, and enhance both physical security and quality of life. We are extremely pleased that Aksa has chosen Turkcell M2M platform solutions.”

Aksa Power Generation Rental General Manager Murat Dönmez added: “By managing our generators remotely with Turkcell M2M technologies, we will send 40% fewer personnel to the field for maintenance and inspections, allowing us to achieve up to 50% annual savings in field personnel costs. This technology enables our customers renting generators from Aksa Power Generation Rental to receive low-cost, fast, high-quality, and comfortable energy support without operational or monitoring issues. With our annual production at 40,000 units, we plan to expand our collaboration with Turkcell to the production stage and transition to ‘smart generator’ manufacturing in the near future.”
