Aksa Power Generation Storm at the Africa Energy Forum

Aksa Power Generation Storm at the Africa Energy Forum

Türkiye’s global brand, Aksa Power Generation, ranked among the top five companies worldwide, participated in the 20th Africa Energy Forum.

Today, exporting to 160 countries across three continents, Aksa Power Generation took part in the forum, which focused on the energy developments in Africa over the past 20 years. Exporting more than 50% of its production and operating through 14 offices across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and America, Aksa continues to raise its flag on the African continent through supported fairs and forums.

The forum, held from June 19 to 22 in Mauritius, an island nation in East Africa, brought together business and government representatives investing in energy, infrastructure, and industry in Africa. Participating as a speaker, Aksa Vice President of International Sales, Doğan Sarıgül, provided panelists with insights on the historical ties between Turkey and Africa, growing trade volumes, and potential opportunities.

Commenting on the event, Aksa Power Generation CEO Alper Peker said he was pleased to serve on the African continent—a rising star of the world—with an increasing commercial volume in the sector since the 2000s and to witness the close relations in return. Peker stated:

"Africa is of great importance to us. Especially with the implementation of the ‘Africa Strategy Document’ in 2010, trade increased fourfold over 15 years, reaching 20.6 billion dollars by the end of 2017, boosting the presence of Turkish companies in Africa. Our commercial volume in Africa will continue to grow day by day."

He added that Aksa Power Generation aims to maintain a long-term presence in Africa’s energy sector.
