Aksa Power Generation Recognized as an R&D Center by the Ministry of Science

Having produced its first generator in 1984 and becoming one of the world’s top 5 generator manufacturers by specializing in its field, Aksa Power Generation has been entitled to be included in the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology’s R&D and Design Center Program. With this program, all innovative projects to be carried out in the field of R&D, which will contribute to Aksa Power Generation’s international competitiveness, will be supported by the ministry.
As Türkiye’s generator market leader and one of the country’s top 200 industrial enterprises and exporters, Aksa Power Generation has gained R&D Center status within the scope of the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology’s R&D and Design Center Program. Meeting many requirements during the application process and successfully passing inspections carried out by the ministry, Aksa Power Generation will focus on innovative projects in the field of R&D with the support of the ministry.
In this program, enterprises are required to have sufficient R&D or design management, technological assets, human resources, intellectual property rights, project and knowledge management capability, and capacity. Companies entitled to become an R&D Center as a result of the program benefit from various advantages such as R&D deductions, income tax withholding incentives, social security premium support, stamp and customs tax exemptions, and basic sciences support. The R&D centers included in the program by the ministry will be regularly audited, and after inspections, companies will be assigned tasks such as encouraging their R&D center personnel to pursue postgraduate studies, providing training opportunities, and collaborating with academics on R&D projects.
Evaluating the process of becoming an R&D Center, Aksa Power Generation CEO Alper Peker stated:
“By exporting our production from Türkiye, China, and the USA to 160 countries, we have succeeded in making a difference in the sector with both our strong ties to the global industry and our innovative approach in product development, achieving a place among the world’s top 5 and becoming the leader in Türkiye. Being included in the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology’s R&D and Design Center Program and receiving government support shows us that we are on the right path. With these advancements, we will both have the opportunity to further develop ourselves and contribute to Türkiye’s goals as a company. We believe that with the support we have received, we will achieve many innovations.”
