Aksa Power Generation at Electra Mining South Africa

Aksa Power Generation, ranked among the top 5 global companies in its sector, participated in Electra Mining, the largest mining event in South Africa.
Exporting to 160 countries through its production across three continents, Aksa continues to strengthen its presence in Africa through participation in fairs and forums. The 46th Electra Mining Fair, held in Johannesburg, the capital of South Africa, is a global hub for the mining industry. By attending this event, Aksa Power Generation further consolidates its position on the African continent, one of its key markets.
With more than 50% of its production exported and operations supported by 14 offices across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and America, Aksa serves the continent through its office in South Africa, a major trade center in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Aksa Power Generation CEO Alper Peker emphasized the importance of Africa, calling it “our gem, just like the rest of the world.” He noted that mining is a strategic sector in Africa that attracts global attention. Peker added:
"South Africa serves as the central hub for all our operations in the region. Participating in the Electra Mining Fair in Johannesburg allows us to strengthen our collaborations in South Africa while also providing a critical platform to deliver our products to stakeholders in the mining sector, one of our target industries."
He also highlighted the growth of trade between Africa and Türkiye, noting that since the implementation of the Africa Strategy Document in 2010, trade has quadrupled over 15 years, reaching USD 20.6 billion by the end of 2017. Peker stressed that Aksa Power Generation aims to continue meeting the energy needs of all sectors in Africa for many more years.
Electra Mining, held annually since 1972, showcases all modern technologies and innovative solutions in the mining industry, from safety to efficiency. Aksa’s participation in the September 10–14 edition strengthened its collaboration opportunities in this strategic African sector.
