Aksa BESS Marks a New Era in Turkey's Energy Storage Sector

Taking a strategic step in the field of energy storage systems, Aksa Power Generation has established Aksa Battery Energy Storage Systems (Aksa BESS) in partnership with EVE, one of the world's largest battery manufacturers. Operating in the production, supply, end-to-end design, and engineering services of energy storage systems, Aksa BESS will provide turnkey solutions for projects that will open a significant chapter in Turkey's energy transition. Additionally, Aksa BESS will serve as a direct solution center for the application, integration, and project development activities of EVE battery technologies in Turkey.
Making a rapid entry into the sector, Aksa BESS has signed contracts for three large-scale energy storage projects with a total capacity of 172 MWh. Two of these projects are planned as Solar Power Plant Integrated Electricity Storage Facilities with a total capacity of 110 MWh, while the third is a Standalone Electricity Storage Facility with a capacity of 62 MWh. Aksa BESS will manage the product supply, engineering, and design processes for all projects on a turnkey basis. In this regard, Aksa BESS will be the first company in Turkey to supply products for energy storage projects of this magnitude on a corporate scale.
A Strategic First in Energy Storage from Aksa BESS
Deniz Şeker, General Manager of Aksa BESS, stated: "We are taking our first major step in the field of energy storage with Aksa BESS, which we established to provide strong and sustainable solutions. Our strategic partnership with EVE, one of the world's leading companies, is a significant milestone not only for Aksa but also for the Turkish energy sector. We are initiating this process with three large-scale projects totaling 172 MWh. While implementing these massive energy storage systems, we are proud to be the reliable solution partner for our customers."
Globally Proven BESS Solutions with a Global Technology Partner
Aksa BESS has established a strategic collaboration with EVE for the technological infrastructure and solution packages of these projects. Beyond providing advanced technology, this partnership ensures global-scale reliability and efficiency for the projects.
Targeted for completion in the first half of 2026, these projects will be among the first of this capacity to be implemented in Turkey. Through these initiatives, Aksa BESS will support the integration of renewable resources into the system, increase grid flexibility, and contribute to energy supply security. The Aksa BESS Energy Storage Systems used in these projects will play a strategic role in Turkey's energy transition journey.
