Executive Board

Ömer Muzaffer Baktır graduated from Istanbul Technical University's Department of Mining Engineering in 1986. He began his career at Pamukbank and continued as a manager in the banking sector. He subsequently served as Deputy General Manager of Credits and Marketing at Halkbank, CFO and Executive Board Member of the Group's Electricity Distribution companies at Cengiz Holding, Deputy General Manager of Marketing and Transformation at Ziraat Bank, and served on the oversight and management boards of various international subsidiaries of the same institution. Between 2017 and 2018, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Erdemir Group. Since February 5, 2018, Baktır has served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kazancı Holding. He is also the Chairman of the Executive Board of Aksa Power Generation, a member of the Boards of Aksa Energy and Aksa Natural Gas, and a member of the Executive Board of Aksa Energy and Kazancı Holding.

Nazmi Atalay was born in Çanakkale in 1968. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Mechanical Engineering in 1989, and completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Istanbul University in 1990. Having started his professional career the same year, Mr. Atalay began working at Aksa Power Generation in 1992. While at the Company, he served as Sales Engineer, Regional Manager, General Manager, Vice President, and Member of the Board of Directors both at home and abroad, as well as at the headquarters. Mr. Atalay continues to serve as Vice Chairman of the Executive Board and Global Sales General Manager at Aksa Power Generation.

Born in 1987, Korhan Baykal graduated from Fatih University, Department of Business Administration in 2009. He began his career as a Business Development Manager at Aksa Energy between 2010-2012, and then worked as a Budget and Reporting Manager at Kazancı Holding between 2012-2013. In 2013, he joined Aksa Power Generation as a Production Engineer, and between 2014-2016, he served as a Dealership Manager at Aksa Electric. He served as a Company Manager at Fırat Electric between 2016-2017. Korhan Baykal served as Sales Director at Aksa Electric between 2017-2022, and has been a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Aksa Electric since 2022, and a Member of the Executive Committee of Aksa Power Generation since 2024.

Mücahit Ekmen holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Marmara University. Subsequently, he completed his master’s education in Auditing at the same university. Mr. Ekmen started his career at Ernst & Young in 2007 and worked in the independent audit department between 2007 and 2012, before joining Kazancı Holding as Financial Controller in 2012. He served as the Budget and Reporting Manager at Aksa Power Generation between June 2013 and June 2020, and as the Financial Affairs Director from July 2020 to June 2022. Ekmen has been serving as CFO since 2023.

Dr. Deniz Şeker was born in Istanbul in 1976 and graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, where he received his master's and doctorate degrees. He then completed the MBA Program at Istanbul Bilgi University and the Leadership for Senior Executives program at Harvard Business School, and holds 6 Sigma Black Belt and TRIZ Master certifications. He began his career as an R&D Engineer at Koç Holding in 1998. He served as R&D Manager at Arçelik from 2005 to 2011, and as Global Program Manager at Ford Otosan from 2011 to 2014. He served as Deputy General Manager at ODE Insulation and General Manager at ODE K-Flex from 2014 to 2016. He served as COO, General Manager, CEO, and Board Member at Mutlu Akü from 2016 to 2024. Şeker, has been serving as Global Manufacturing Operations General Manager at Aksa Power Generation since 2024

He was born in Ankara in 1980. He completed his undergraduate education at Mersin University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2003 and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Yıldız Technical University in 2019. Tatarka began his professional career at Aksa Power Generation as a Sales Engineer in 2005 and worked as a Branch Manager in the field until 2015. He was later promoted to Domestic Sales Manager in 2015 and Domestic Sales Director in 2019. As of 2023, he has been serving as Aksa Power Generation Global Marketing and Business Development Director and Executive Board Member responsible for Change Management.

Born in Istanbul in 1977, he completed his undergraduate education in Industrial Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 1999 and his graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Koç University in 2007. He began his professional career as a Production Manager at Törk Makine San. Tic. A.Ş., working part-time in 1997 and full-time since 1999. He began working at Aksa Power Generation Inc. in 2002, where he held positions such as Project Director, Factory Planning Manager, Strategic Planning Manager, and Supply Chain Manager in the factory and headquarters. Currently, he serves as the Global Planning and Costing Director and a member of the Executive Board responsible for the Strategic Planning & Implementation Committee at Aksa Power Generation.
